Academics

Learning Experience

Colegio Inglés supports our students by building knowledge in a secure and technology-rich learning environment, and by adhering to national and international academic standards under an intercultural framework defined by moral values, ethical behavior, and cooperation and respect for the individual.

CI Teaching Method

Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR)

A scaffolded sequence of teaching and learning phases in which the responsibility for acquiring and implementing content and skills progressively shifts from the teacher to the student, resulting in the CI Teaching Method.

Interdisciplinary Approach

The Interdisciplinary Approach is meant to link different subjects, even if they are taught by different teachers. The topic or unifying theme integrates various elements thereby enabling children to learn in a holistic way.

Learning Centers

Teacher-directed learning centers offer students the opportunity to learn in small-group instruction and assessment. Other centers provide students with opportunities to work independently or collaboratively with peers.

Project-Based Learning

Project-based learning involves students in sustained, collaborative investigation of real-world issues. In carrying out these projects, students engage in tasks typically associated with professionals, including reading informational text, conducting surveys, designing models, and communicating the results of the investigation.
